Driving Growth for Local Causes Socks 4 the Homeless & Less Fortunate

How we began....Elizabeth Cooper, Founder of Socks 4 the Homeless & Less Fortunate, read an article stating socks were the #1 requested items at shelters but were seldome provided. Liz, as her friends knows her, wanted to make a difference. She went to work and challenged her coworkers to help. She challenged them to donate at least 100 pairs of socks. The year was 2017. She exceeded her goal. She collected 101 pairs of socks to donate that year.

Liz didnot feel she had done enough to bridge the gap. She wanted to repeat the mission the following year. She challenged everyone to double the previous year's collection. It worked! She accomplished her second year goal and surpassed it by leaps and bounds.

She continues her mission today.

To Priscilla Williams, the former coworker who helped with her first year goal, thank you! You worked as hard as Liz and even harder for the cause by bringing in bags of socks and collecting monies donated to purchase socks. You were a blessing in setting our bar. We continue to fulfill our mission today.
